Jersey Dairy launches its first Kefir made with A2 Jersey milk
Jersey Dairy is proud to announce the launch of its first ever Kefir, made with 100% A2 Jersey milk. Combining the natural richness of Jersey milk with traditional fermentation, the new kefir offers a delicious, protein rich way to enjoy one of the fastest growing dairy categories.
Available in 500ml bottles, Jersey Dairy Kefir is made using traditional kefir grains and live cultures to create a smooth fermented milk drink. High in protein and made with naturally creamy A2 Jersey milk, it is a simple and versatile addition to a healthy, balanced diet.
Kefir has been enjoyed for centuries and is becoming increasingly popular as more people look for nutritious foods that support their health and wellbeing. Whether enjoyed as a refreshing drink, poured over granola, blended into a smoothie or added to your breakfast routine, Jersey Dairy Kefir is an easy way to enjoy the benefits of fermented dairy.
What makes Jersey Dairy Kefir unique is the milk itself. Jersey cows naturally produce milk containing only the A2 beta-casein protein, unlike conventional milk, which typically contains both A1 and A2 proteins. A2 milk is increasingly recognised by consumers who are looking for dairy options that may feel gentler on digestion, while still enjoying the nutritional benefits of milk.
Dr Magdalena Drabble, Director of Operations at Jersey Dairy, said:
“At Jersey Dairy, we are always looking for new ways to bring the natural goodness of Jersey milk to consumers. Our new Kefir combines the nutritional benefits of fermented dairy with the rich taste and texture of 100% A2 Jersey milk. The naturally higher protein and solids content of Jersey milk make it particularly well suited to fermented dairy products such as kefir, helping to create a smooth, creamy texture. Made using locally produced milk from our Island’s dairy farms, it is a delicious and convenient way for people to enjoy a nutritious dairy product as part of their everyday routine.”
Jersey Dairy Kefir is available now from selected retailers across the Island.
