La Ferme Farm Fun Day makes record-breaking return!
After an eight-year hiatus, La Ferme Farm Fun Day finally returned, giving nearly 4,000 visitors an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at life on a working dairy farm. And what a day it was!

Overall, £26,000 was raised and split evenly between the RNLI Jersey and the Jersey Child Care Trust, an incredible result!
The gates opened at 10am on Saturday 25th July 2026, welcoming crowds on one of the standout days of the summer, both for the glorious weather and the excitement in the air. Families, friends and visitors of all ages flocked to La Ferme for a day packed with entertainment, local food, farming heritage and community spirit.
The late Anne Perchard first came up with the idea of opening La Ferme to the public in 2000, creating an event that offered something for everyone. This year’s return proudly continued that tradition. The lower grounds of La Ferme were transformed into a vibrant hub of activity, featuring a wide range of trade, charity and food stalls that proved hugely popular throughout the day. Children’s games and attractions kept younger visitors entertained, with the crockery smash proving to be a particular favourite!
At the top of the winding hill slope one of the busiest attractions of the day: the Jersey Dairy ice cream trailer! Thousands of ice creams were served as visitors looked for a refreshing treat in the summer sunshine. Every penny raised from ice cream sales was donated to the event’s chosen charities. It was fantastic to see so many smiling faces enjoying our ice cream while supporting two worthy local causes.
The ever-popular Farmers’ Market was also a highlight, showcasing a fantastic selection of fresh local produce, artisan goods and handmade crafts. Children had the opportunity to meet La Ferme’s cows and calves up close, creating lasting memories and helping them connect with Jersey’s farming heritage. Tractor and trailer rides offered visitors a unique tour of the farm and gave many their first glimpse behind-the-scenes of a modern dairy operation.
One of the day’s biggest attractions took place at noon, when the cows returned from grazing and made their way into the milking parlour. Spectators lined the hillside to watch the impressive sight, with cameras and phones at the ready as the herd eagerly bounded in for milking. Following this was the much-loved Cow Pat Competition, where one lucky winner took home £50 after correctly guessing where a selected cow would make its mark!
As in previous years, Jersey Dairy helped organise the event alongside the Royal Jersey Agricultural & Horticultural Society (RJA&HS), the Rotary Club de la Manche and, of course, the Perchard family, whose dedication helped make the day such a success.
Visitors also enjoyed a packed programme of live entertainment throughout the day, with performances from local choirs, ukulele groups and musicians creating a lively atmosphere and soundtrack for the celebrations.
A special thank you goes to the volunteers from the Jersey Scouts, who played a vital role in managing car parking and traffic throughout the day, particularly given the unprecedented number of visitors.
