Jersey Dairy Presents Donation to RNLI Lifeboat Crew
Jersey Dairy was delighted to present the RNLI with a cheque for £1,857.38, raised through recent fundraising efforts.
The RNLI is a remarkable organisation, staffed by highly trained volunteers united by selflessness, skill, and courage. Earlier this year, the RNLI’s St Catherine’s inshore lifeboat crew played a vital role in rescuing a group of heifers that had ended up in the sea at Grouville in January.
To celebrate their incredible work, Jersey Dairy, together with Tom Perchard of La Ferme Farm, presented the donation to members of St Catherine’s RNLI, alongside some of his rescued heifers. The presentation included St Catherine crew members Brian Brown, Jack Luce, Elwyn Dop, Noah Clark and Caryll McFadyen.
Nigel Sweeny, Lifeboat Operations Manager for RNLI Jersey said: “We are extremely grateful to Jersey Dairy for this donation. The rescue of the heifers from Grouville certainly counts among our more interesting and challenging services, and we were glad to be able to help. These funds will help keep our volunteers equipped and trained so they can continue to save lives at sea, whether they be human or bovine.”
Jersey Dairy is proud to support the RNLI and the essential work it carries out for the island.
