Managing Director

This is a rare opportunity to lead one of Jersey’s most iconic businesses. Our current Managing Director is retiring after 22 years service to Jersey Dairy and we are now seeking his replacement.

Jersey Dairy Limited is owned by a cooperative of the island’s dairy farmers. The Jersey cow is known for its rich creamy milk, gentle nature and efficient milk production, making it one of the world’s most popular breeds. As well as supplying high quality milk and other dairy products to island residents the company has a substantial export business to the UK, Europe and Asia. In the year to September 2025 the company achieved sales of £24 million and employed 66 people mainly at its Jersey based manufacturing facility, which was newly built in 2009.

The successful candidate will have the following experience and qualities:

Key experience

  • A proven track record of successful senior leadership, preferably in an FMCG business.

  • Board level experience and therefore awareness of appropriate governance frameworks.

  • Evidence of the development and successful implementation of a strategic plan.

  • Experience in a small scale manufacturing business would be desirable.

  • Familiarity in operating business with rigorous quality standards.

  • Awareness and understanding of the challenges of working in a small island based community.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent.

  • Jersey residential qualifications.
